DANIEL MILLS, PHYSIOTHERAPIST, RUN COACH

Our clinic’s go-to therapist for tricky injuries, Daniel is a gifted physiotherapist with an aptitude for problem-solving. He is excellent at treating nerve-related issues, as well as running related hip, knee, and ankle issues. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the Queens University, Daniel is also one of our clinic’s Run Coaches.

Growing up in Sault Ste. Marie, Daniel participated in a variety of sports, but specifically played hockey in a competitive setting. You can also find Daniel participating in a variety of other sports such as softball, golf, and ultimate frisbee. Daniel has also pushed forwards with pursuing his running goals,  completing a three race 2024 season that concluded with setting a personal best at the Georgina Half Marathon.

While always having an interest in a career as a physiotherapist, Daniel discovered his passion for the profession while acting as a clinical volunteer at a nearby clinic while he was a student at the University of Guelph. Here he quickly realized how rewarding it was to work in an environment where he gets the opportunity to help others with their return to activities, hobbies, and sports that have been affected by an ongoing injury.

Daniel likes to utilize both manual therapy and exercise in his treatment approach. He has also taken additional coursework in acupuncture and dry needling. Daniel has also taken a role within the clinic as a Communications Lead in our partnership with Canada Running Series in preparation for our on site care at CRS led races, including the Toronto Waterfront Marathon.
